1. What are diaper cakes?
Diaper cakes are not edible cakes, although sometimes they apear so. They are made out of disposable diapers that are rolled-up, then placed together to form shapes that look like real cake layers. Decorative trim is used to resemble icing and useful baby items are placed onto and into the cake. Diaper cakes are a very practical gift to give parents of a new baby because it is mostly made of baby items that every parent can use.

2. What brand & size of diapers are used?
Typically, Pampers Swaddlers, size 1-2, (up to 15lbs) are used, however, other brands or sizes can be used upon request. For example larger diapers or pull-ups can be used for older babies and given as birthday gifts.

3. Do you do custom orders?
Yes, each cake is made to order and if you do not find exactly what your looking for we can usually accomodate most requests.

4. How long will it take to get my order?
You should order at least 2-3 weeks ahead of time. On average orders are shipped out within 7-10 business days, and usually arrive 4-6 business days later. Orders are processed in the order in which they are received. Rush orders are available for a $10 fee (plus any shipping charges that apply) and guarantees that your order will be processed within 3 business days (orders can be shipped overnight for the standard overnight postal rate).

5. Can my order be shipped directly to the recipient?
Absolutely. Diaper cakes & towel cakes are always wrapped in tulle and ready to be given. Any items on this website can be gift wrapped and sent directly to the recipient with a gift tag.

6. What is your return policy?
Great care is taken when making the gifts and packaging them. Returns are accepted within 7 days of receiving the item as long as the all of the items are returned un-opened & not tampered with. The Nifty Gift assumes no responsibility for damage to the item/s once the package has been shipped out. It is highly recommended that you purchase shipping insurance to cover this. Your original shipping cost and the cost of the return postage is your responsibility and will not be refunded for any reason. Please allow 7-14 business days for your refund to be processed.

7. What types of payment methods are accepted?
Paypal, which is a secure site for credit card payments or online checks is my preffered payment method and is recommended in order to receive your package in a timely manner. I will accept money orders and personal checks, but packages are not shipped until payment clears.
